After a long absence in Japan, the fans were eager to see JYJ back performing and in the morning of the concert, the Hitachi park was packed with the concert goers from end to end. Many morning commute trains headed to HItachi park from different parts of the nation could not make their regular stops because the train was filled to capacity. The traffic around the park also came to a halt due to the concert goers as well.

One of the concert organizers stated, “We already knew how popular they were because the tickets had been sold-out already, but there were 10,000 standing seats in addition to those tickets and they were all sold-out as well. We were quite frankly astonished at this.”


In the concert JYJ sang the songs from the group’s world wide album ‘The Beginning’ and as well as the tracks from the special Korean album, ‘In Heaven’. The members also had their individual stages, singing the songs from the drama they starred in.

It was a rainy and muggy day, but the fans came to see JYJ perform from all over Japan.

Leaving just their final stage JYJ stated, “We are moved by this opportunity to meet our Japanese fans. When they told us that we would have to have an outdoor concert in the earthquake stricken areas, we were a bit concerned. However, we did not want to lose this opportunity to meet our fans in Japan. We’ve felt your love here and with that we’ve gained an enormous confidence.”

They continued, “We are in a difficult situation in which we are not able to meet you guys on television, but we won’t give up and we’ll continue to make music. We can’t thank you enough for your ever constant love. We will always strive to do better” and they members shed tears from their eyes.

As the members said their thank you the 40,000 fans started to cry and shouted “Daijobu’ (It’s Okay) JYJ” and JYJ ended the concert with their song ‘In Heaven’ as a final thank you to the fans.

JYJ is scheduled to hold a concert in Barcelona Spain on the 29th and following that, they will head to Germany to continue with the group’s World Tour.
